General Notes: Husband - Thomas Lilley

He was born and reared on a farm in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and coming to Washington County in 1801, bought 160 acres in East Pike Run township, where he followed the blacksmith trade in connection with farming. In 1810 he erected a large stone house and barn on the place. He was an active worker in the Whig party, and in religious faith he and his wife were members of the Society of Friends. They were the parents of ten children, of whom only one was still living in 1893.
