General Notes: Husband - Maj. James McCurdy


For several years he was employed in the mill which his grandfather built, and afterward engaged in farming. During the days of militia and general training he held important positions in the State militia, was brigade inspector of the Second Brigade of the Eleventh Division of Pennsylvania Militia. For many years he was identified with the Presbyterian Church, and was an official member of the same, as was his father before him. In politics he was a Republican.
