General Notes: Husband - Samuel King

The advent of this family to the Keystone State antedates the Revolutionary War.

He was a merchant, a native of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, of Scotch-Irish descent, and moved to Uniontown, Fayette County, near the close of the 1700s, becoming one of the first merchants of that place and a man of note in the community.
