General Notes: Husband - Albert M. Cope

He received his education in the common schools. In 1868 he went to Iowa, where for one year he did farm work by the month and for the two years following rented a farm which he cultivated for himself. In 1871 he returned home, but after a short time went to Columbiana County, Ohio, where for some years he engaged in farming as a renter. In 1876 he returned to Westmoreland County, built a residence, and after the death of his father became by purchase the owner of the homestead. In politics he affiliated with the Prohibitionists. He was a member and trustee of the Society of Friends.
