General Notes: Husband - Peter Titus

When a lad, he was brought by his father from Holland to America. They settled on Staten Island, NY, and afterward removed to Frankstown, PA, at so early a period that they experienced great danger and trouble from the Indians. In 1804, or thereabouts, a few years after his son Jonathan had immigrated to Crawford County, Peter arrived with the remainder of his family and settled on the site of Hydetown. He had had no educational advantages, and remained a life-long farmer of Oil Creek township, reaching a good old age.

He died at the advanced age of one hundred and ten years.
