Ernest V. Householder
ELLWOOD CITY - Ernest V. Householder, 73, of 238 S. Market St., New Wilmington, formerly of 429 Stiefel Ave., Ellwood City, died at 9 p.m. on March 24, 1976, in Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle after a six-month illness.
He was born in Marion Township, Beaver County, on March 29, 1902, to the late Philip and Amelia Lynn Householder. He retired in 1966 from the Ellwood Works of the U.S. Steel Corp. where he was a bench operator in the cold draw department with 47 years of service.
Mr. Householder was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Men's group.
He is survived by his wife, the former Bertha Lusher; a daughter Mrs. Erwin (Dorothy) Connor of Ellwood City; two brothers, Lester of New Brighton, and Willis of Beaver Falls; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother Gilbert, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Deemer, Mrs. Linda Ketterer, and Mrs. Elsie Rader.
Friends will be received at the Kenneth C. Turner Funeral Home, 500 Sixth St., from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. The service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Ralph W. Martin Jr., of Riverview United Methodist Church of Beaver Falls. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Bertha Householder
NEW WILMINGTON - Mrs. Bertha M. Lusher Householder, 78, of 238 S. Market St., died at 1 p.m. Dec. 8, 1979 at her residence.
She was born May 4, 1901 in Sandy Lake to the late David and Margaret Forbes Lusher. She was a former resident of 429 Stiefel Ave., Ellwood City, and moved to New Wilmington in 1975. Mrs. Householder was married to Ernest V. Householder, who preceded her in death in 1976.
A graduate of Geneva College, she was a former school teacher in the Old North Star Building - Ben Venue School. Mrs. Householder was a member of First United Methodist Church of Ellwood City, Friendship Circle Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women, and an honorary member of Franklin Township Fire Department Auxiliary.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Erwin (Dorothy) Connor of Ellwood City; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Turner Funeral Home, 500 Sixth St., Ellwood City. A service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home will be conducted by the Rev. William F. Rautner of First United Methodist Church of New Wilmington and the Rev. John Magargee of Concord United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery.
