General Notes: Husband - Isaac Horton


He held various town offices in Colchester, New York, from 1804 to 1823, and in 1826 removed from that town to Liberty.

He located at Liberty, Sullivan County, New York, and was for many years engaged in lumbering and tanning.

He settled at Liberty Falls, New York, in 1826. In 1828 he built both a saw mill and grist mill there, and carried on business successfully until his death. In politics he was a Whig and an ardent supporter of Clay and Webster.
