General Notes: Husband - Philip H. Hooper

He and his wife were Presbyterians, who came from Scotland and settled at Cross Roads, Washington County, Pennsylvania. He was a tanner and farmer, and one of the first settlers in Washington County; also one of the first settlers in Moon township, Allegheny County. He took up six hundred acres of land there, then sent for an old friend, who had come from Scotland, and sold him 160 acres, so as to have him for a neighbor.
