General Notes: Husband - Jacob Wegley


He was born on the family homestead farm in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He was a member and elder of the Brush Creek Lutheran church for many years. He was liberal of his means in aid of his church and other religious denominations.

He acquired the family homestead from his father.
In politics he adhered to the Democratic party.

He and his wife had eight children, of whom three sons and two daughters were still living in 1890.
