General Notes: Husband - John Alex. Work


Civil War: he enlisted Aug. 12, 1862, in Co. D, 135th regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers for nine months.
He was a farmer, and lived on the "Hastings" farm, adjoining his childhood home. He was an Elder in Gilgal Presbyterian Church.
