General Notes: Husband - Oren Waters

---

He was a manufacturer in Massachusetts. He came to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1824, opened a shop in partnership with his brother Asa, and manufactured the first shovels and axes made in Pittsburgh. Later he removed to Chartiers creek, where he established himself, and subsequently removed to New Brighton.
