General Notes: Husband - W. W. Waters


He received his education in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, and came to Pittsburgh in 1851, where he was employed in an office. In 1856 he engaged as clerk with J. S. Davison, a dealer in books, and in 1873 he took charge of the Presbyterian bookstore, of which he later became the manager. He resided in Sewickley beginning in 1875. He and his wife were members of the Presbyterian Church of Sewickley, of which he was an elder; politically he was a republican.
