General Notes: Husband - Hugh McLarn


He was a native of Ireland, who came to America when a young man in company with his brother, Robert, and settled in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. He afterward moved to Findley township, Allegheny County, where he carried on the business of farming, and died, aged fifty-eight years. He was a Whig, and a member of the Seceder's church.

He and his wife had eight children.

He was a farmer, who came from County Down, Ireland, at an early date, married, and became the father of nine children. He first purchased land in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, in partnership with two brothers, but afterward moved to Findlay township, Allegheny County, and purchased land from Mr. McCandless, the pioneer.
