General Notes: Husband - Joseph McLarn


He was educated in his native county, and was in early life a farmer. At the age of twenty-five he started a store in Moon township, Allegheny County; opened his store in Murdocksville in 1840, and was very successful. He owned 150 acres of land in this county, and twenty acres in Washington County.
He was postmaster beginning in 1841, and was a Republican.
He and his wife were members of the United Presbyterian church of Robinson.
