General Notes: Husband - Alexander Duncan Guy


He followed farming for a time. In 1886 he entered the mercantile business and so continued for ten years, most of the time in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. From 1896 to 1902, he held a clerical position in the County Commissioners office. He was twice elected Justice of the Peace in Coraopolis, and was later a Burgess of said borough. In 1901 he enlisted as private in Company B, 14th Regiment, Pennsylvania National Guards. In 1905 he was commissioned Batalion Adjutant by Governor Pennypacker, and Governor Stewart and Governor Tener each in turn re-commissioned him to the same position.
