Obituary - Frank S. Linn
Frank S. Linn, 78, lifelong resident of Van, died at his home Tuesday at 1 a.m. after an illness of several months.
He was born September 25, 1861, on the Linn farm at Van, the son of Charles and Catherine Rumberger Linn, pioneer settlers of that section. He spent his entire life on the homestead where he died. He was employed for the past 35 years at the Pennsylvania Fuel Company, and for the past 20 years had farmed and operated his own lease.
He was a member of the Blue Lodge at Emlenton, the Lodge of Perfection in Oil City, and the New Castle Consistory F. and A. M. He was also a member of the Van Methodist Church.
He was married December 25, 1888, to Ruth E. Graham of Bully Hill, who preceded him in death four years ago.
He is survived by the following children: Floyd B. Linn of Franklin, Mrs. Dora Eakin and Otis G. Linn of Van, a sister, Mrs. Oliver Nickle of Seneca, and nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Otis Linn home at Van after Wednesday morning and services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Georgeville Cemetery.
