General Notes: Husband - Robert Elder


He emigrated from Lough Neagh, county Antrim, Ireland, where he had previously settled, to America about 1730 [another source: 1720], locating in Paxtang township, then Lancaster, later Dauphin, County, Pennsylvania, on a tract of land near the first ridge of the Kittochtinny mountains, five miles north of Harrisburg. He died in Paxtang, and is buried in the old church graveyard.
