General Notes: Husband - James Ewing

He and his brothers, John, Robert and Alexander, came to the vicinity of what was afterward McFarland's mill [Indiana County, Pennsylvania], in 1788.

He removed in 1804, to a farm, later occupied by Abner Griffith, in East Mahoning township, Indiana County, and in 1814, to what later became the Samuel Aul farm, in North Mahoning township, where he had purchased of John Brown, in 1808, a log mill, well known afterward as the Ewing mill and later as the Dilts mill.

He served under Gen. Wayne in the Indian wars.
