General Notes: Husband - Jacob F. Eisenbrown

He attended school at New Brighton, Pennsylvania, after which he learned the cooper's trade. He followed his chosen calling in Freedom for a number of years, also working at the same occupation in Pittsburgh.
A farmer of Limestone township, his residence in Warren County, Pennsylvania, dated from 1865, settling at that time in Tidioute, accepting a position as engineer for the Economite Oil Co., and holding that responsible position for a period of ten consecutive years. About 1875 he purchased 100 acres of land. This tract contained a thick growth of heavy timber of good quality, and the land, when cleared, proved to be most valuable for farming purposes. After clearing a small portion, he built a house and good barns, and engaged in clearing up his land. Later he bought another farm, adjacent to his first purchase, and on this latter farm his residence was later situated. The two farms comprised in all 324 acres and were among the most productive and highly improved farms in Limestone township. In time he tore down the old buildings and built new ones, so that he then had as fine and complete a set of conveniently arranged buildings as one could wish, his residence being pleasantly located on an elevation and attractively surrounded by spacious lawns. He engaged in general farming, raising grain, hay and stock-having quite an extensive dairy, and many fine fruit orchards.

General Notes: Wife - Jane Lovina Merkle

She accompanied her parents across the ocean, and sojourned for about 15 months at Economy, Pennsylvania, whence they removed to Limestone township, Warren County, where she attended school and lived with her parents until her marriage.
