General Notes: Husband - John Lindsay Hasson


He was born in the eastern part of Pennsylvania and accompanied his parents to Venango County, where he spent the remainder of his life. He became a resident of Canal township in 1824.

He was in the war of 1812, and was on the present site of Columbus, Ohio, then called Franklinton.

He served in the War of 1812, enlisting at Franklin and marching to Sandusky Bay, where he was engaged a portion of the time in the building of Fort Meigs, one of the first fortifica­tions on the western frontier. In 1814 he served as a private at Erie.
