General Notes: Husband - Andrew Parker

---

He was educated at Dickinson College, Carlisle, graduating in 1824; he studied law under Andrew Carothers, and admitted to the bar in I826. He soon after commenced the practice of his profession at Lewistown, Pennsylvania, and subsequently was appointed Deputy Attorney General for Mifflin County, removing to Mifflintown, then the county seat, where he resided until his death. He served as a representative in Congress from 1851 to 1853. He was an able lawyer, and his practice and reputation extended to all the neighboring counties.
