from Westmoreland Co, PA
Her mother was an eye witness to the Massey Harbison massacre in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. She saw the Indians scalp three of her children, and herself and oldest daughter were made prisoners, and when they returned home Barbara was two years old.
