General Notes: Husband - Rev. Robert Kennedy
He was educated under the Rev. Nathan Grier, of Brandywine Manor, and was graduated at Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in 1797. He was licensed to preach at Upper Octoraro, Aug. 20, 1799, and was ordained pastor of the Greencastle and Welsh Run Presbyterian churches, Aug. 13, 1803. In 1816, he removed to Cumberland, Maryland, but returned to Welsh Run in 1825, where he remained until his death. He was a man of vigorous intellect and a fine scholar, especially in the classics.
He had two sons with his first wife; with his second he had ten children, all of whom, but one son, were deceased before 1876.
