General Notes: Husband - Joseph Walkinshaw


He learned the trade of shoemaker, and removed to Indiana County, Pennsylvania, where he was married. He was a democrat, and in religious opinion he was a member of the United Presbyterian church. He held the office of justice of the peace two terms.

He was a shoemaker, and came to Saltsburg in 1831, where he served as justice of the peace for three terms, dying in 1873, in his seventieth year. He, as well as his wife, were United Presbyterians.


General Notes: Wife - Margaret B. Daugherty


She was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. A year later, in 1810, the family removed to the vicinity of Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, and in 1833 to Saltsburg, Indiana County.
