General Notes: Husband - Rev. Leffert Lease Haughawout

He graduated at Jefferson College in 1863, and at Princeton Theological Seminary in 1867. He was licensed to preach by the Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, Presbytery in 1866. Having received a call to pastoral charge, he was ordained and installed on the same day by the Northumberland Presbytery, at Centralia, Pennsylvania. He next became pastor of the Washington Presbyterian church, and after laboring some years in that charge, he accepted a call and became pastor of the Bald Eagle and Nitany churches of Northumberland Presbytery.
