Quit claimed in Chester, Pennsylvania, in 1796.
He moved from Chester County, Pennsylvania, to Crawford County, in 1797.

He and his wife were among the first settlers of Hayfield township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. They were of Scotch descent.

Afterwards moved to Logan County, Ohio, and was buried on McKee's Creek, four miles north of W. Liberty.
