General Notes: Husband - Benson Stewart Dill

He was born on the family homestead at Dilltown, in Buffington township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, and attended the common schools of the vicinity until he reached the age of fourteen years. He then went to work hauling lumber. Becoming owner of 126 acres in Buffington township, he made extensive additions to it by purchase. Along with general farming he made a specialty of raising cattle.
He served as school director and a member of the election board in his township, participating in politics as a member of the Democratic party.
