General Notes: Husband - Rev. Edwin Swengel


He was born near Paxtonville, Snyder County, Pennsylvania, on the farm his grandfather settled on, and there remained until he attained manhood. He attended the public schools, also the New Berlin Seminary, conducted by the Evangelical denomination, and later attended Dickinson Seminary (theological department) and was duly ordained a minister in that church. He was a member of the Central Pennsylvania Conference for a number of years and preached in Pennsylvania, New York and Illinois. He later lived retired in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
