Shelocta, Indiana Co, PA - a farmer

He was a native of the Path Valley, where he married his wife. He came to Indiana County in 1786, having purchased the property of James Findley. The family were often forced to retire to the blockhouse, which was about ten rods from the cabin, and about one-fourth of a mile from Crooked creek.
