General Notes: Husband - John Cunningham
He was born in Blairsville, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. Here his early years were passed, and he acquired his education in the common schools of the borough. He was apprenticed to the trade of carpentering, and upon the completion of his apprenticeship went west, spending some time in California, where he worked at his trade. He returned east, locating in Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, where he engaged in mercantile business, with which he was closely identified for the remainder of his life. He removed to Mount Pleasant in 1873, located on a farm near the borough limits, and engaged in farming in addition to his mercantile pursuits. He was a loyal supporter of the Republican party, but never sought office. During the greater part of his mature life he was an elder in the Presbyterian church. He was a member of Acacia Lodge No. 355, Free and Accepted Masons, of Blairsville, and was buried with Masonic rites in Blairsville cemetery.
