General Notes: Husband - John Wesley Alcorn


Civil War: He enlisted on Sept. 8, 1862, in the Union Army. He was taken prisoner at Brandy Station, Culpepper, Virginia. He died of scorbutus and diarrhea on Sept. 18, 1864, in the Confederate prison at Andersonville, Georgia, and is buried in Andersonville National Cemetery in grave #9150, Section H.
