Mrs. Helen Marie Cummings, age 83, of Sterling, died early Thursday, December 3, 1998 at Standish Community Hospital. She was born in Standish, Michigan on January 12, 1915, the daughter of Fred and Mattie (Schwerin) Neiman.
On June 19, 1937 she was married in Standish, MI to Henry J. Cummings, Mrs. Cummings was a homemaker, a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sterling, MI, the Ladies Aid Society and the Moore's Jct. Home Extension Club.
Surviving are husband, Henry J. six children: Robert (Connie) Cummings of Flushing, MI, Jayne Daniels, Laurice (Mike) Lee and Barbara Miller, all of Flint, MI, Janet (Joe) Ziembo of Davidson, MI, Judy (Earl) Card of Sterling, MI; 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two sisters: Ardith (Ben) Perkins of Standish, MI and Dorothy Duby of Flint, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at the R.O. Savage Funeral Chapel, Standish, MI Saturday from 7-9 P.M. and 10 A.M. to 9 P.M. on Sunday. Funeral Services will be held at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sterling, MI, Monday (Dec. 7, 1998) at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor K.W. Biedenbender officiating. Mrs. Cummings will lie in state at the church from 11:00 A.M. until service time.
