General Notes: Husband - Daniel Ramey


Civil War: he served in the Pennsylvania militia, in Captain McComb's company, during the raids in the war of 1861; he enlisted as a private in company C, and was promoted to second lieutenant in company G of the 206th Pennsylvania volunteers, in which he served about one year.

He served two terms in the lower house of the legislature, viz: the sessions of 1873-4 and 1874-5. While a member of the house, he was mainly instrumental in defeating the judges' pension bill, and other legislation of a class character.
