General Notes: Husband - James L. Culbertson
He attended the public schools, and was graduated from the Edinboro State Normal School at the age of eighteen years. For a time he was in the employ of others in the dry goods business in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and when he had acquired a thorough and practical knowledge of this line of business, he established himself in the same town. His business was later incorporated, and was conducted under the name of The J. L. Culbertson Dry Goods Company, of which he was the president and leading spirit. Until 1912 he conducted the business alone, but in that year he incorporated it. He is a member of the Congregational church, and has for many years been a member of Meadville Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons.
