General Notes: Husband - J. E. Richardson
He attended the district schools of Somerset Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and Jefferson Academy at Canonsburg, and grew to maturity on the old home farm. He subsequently cultivated that farm until the spring of 1909, when he disposed of the land and moved to Bentleyville, where he engaged in the livery business. He shortly afterward placed the livery business under the management of his son, I. B. Richardson. Mr. Richardson then became proprietor of a general store which he conducted for nearly a year and disposed of same in September, 1909. In March, 1907, Mr. Richardson moved into a large pressed-brick residence, which he erected, and which was considered the finest residence in the borough of Bentleyville. He was also owner of several other houses which he rented out, and also he was largely interested in Coal stock in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. He was a stockholder and director of the Farmers' and Miners' National Bank of Bentleyville.
He held membership with the Methodist Episcopal Church, of which he was a trustee, and served four years as superintendent of the Sabbath school.
