General Notes: Husband - George Crumrine

He and two of his brothers came from Maryland early in nineteenth century and settled in East Bethlehem township, Washington County, Pennsylvania.

He came to Washington County, Pennsylvania, from Maryland in 1801.
He came to East Bethlehem township, purchased of Adam Hartman, March 14, 1801, for eight hundred dollars, a tract called "Darby," containing one hundred and twenty-six acres. He also purchased seventy-three and three-quarter acres adjoining the foregoing on Jan. 2, 1810, for six hundred dollars (a part of the tract called "Greenland"), from Michael Rupp, who had purchased the land from Jacob Crotinger, Oct. 1, 1806. These two tracts made a farm of two hundred acres, on which he lived until his death.
He was overseer of the poor of the township for many years.

General Notes: Wife - Elizabeth Garrett

The Garret family came to Washington County, Pennsylvania, from the same section of Maryland as the Crumrine family, and at about the same time.
