General Notes: Husband - Moses Knappenberger


He received his education in the local schools of the region, and upon reaching manhood engaged in the tanning business, which he followed for his entire life, most of which was spent in the town of Grapeville, Pennsylvania. He was a staunch member of the Democratic party, and a Lutheran in religion. He was always actively interested in the affairs of the community and held a number of important offices on the church board.

He and his wife had thirteen children; four of whom died in infancy.
