General Notes: Husband - Nathan Slater


He came to But­ler County, Pennsylvania, and settled on a farm in Cranberry township, near the site of Gallery Junction. After his wife died, and he subsequently removed to Sharon, Pennsylvania, where he died at the home of his daughter. He was a member of the Baptist church. In politics, he was a Whig until the formation of the Republican party, when he joined that organization. He filled the offices of school director and supervisor in Cranberry township, and during his residence there was one of its well known citizens.
