General Notes: Husband - William S. Crosby
He was reared at home, acquiring his education in the common schools. Following his marriage he occupied the position of fireman at the United Union coke works, was also employed at the United coke works, and subsequently removed to a farm, which was the property of his father-in-law. To the cultivation and improvement of this place he then devoted his energies. In matters of political belief he was a Republican, and served multiple terms as a member of the school board. He belonged to the Church of Christ and served for some time as deacon and elder.
