General Notes: Husband - Michael Alcorn

He came from Ireland with his uncle Joseph and his brother John, then a lad of fifteen, early in the nineteenth century, in order to escape religious persecution at home.

Though both Michael Alcorn and his wife had come from Ireland at about the same time, there was no traceable relationship between them, although it seems highly probable that their remote ancestors were the same.

He came from Ireland to near Saltsburg, Pennsylvania, at thirteen years of age, and was a firm believer in the teachings of the Presbyterian church.
