General Notes: Husband - Stewart Davis

His father was a butcher of Blairsville, Pennsylvania, and instructed his son, Stewart, in the business, eventually making him a member of the firm which was known for years as A. Davis & Son. After the death of his father Stewart conducted the business alone during the remainder of his life. He belonged to the I. O. O. F. and the A. O. U. W., and was a Democrat in politics. For twenty years he held office in the Methodist Episcopal church, of which he was a member.

Civil War: he was a member of Co. H, 10th Pa. militia for thirty days.
