General Notes: Husband - Henry Craig

His brother John came to America from Ballyroney, County Down, Ireland, in 1773, and became his apprentice as a cabinet-maker. Henry had come to America a short time previously and had settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. When the Revolutionary war came on Henry enlisted in the Pennsylvania Line, but owing to the fact that he had a family, John took his place and served for seven years until peace was signed. After John had gone to the army to fight in his place, Henry Craig reenlisted and, going to the front, was never heard of again.
