He moved from Butler County, PA, to Scrubgrass Township, Venango County, in the spring of 1868, renting the James Anderson farm. This noted property, one of several fine tracts belonging to the Anderson family, Peter Wolford operated for twenty years, on his retirement therefrom locating upon a small farm of his own in the same neighborhood where the rest of his days were passed.
