The firm, established in 1891 by the elder Davidson, had done a flourishing business since its inception, and became one of the largest in its field in the county. Davidson & Son operated motor trucks for delivery of their merchandise. Carl C. Davidson was in virtual control of the enterprise for many years. He was also a director in the Citizens' National Bank of Ellwood City, the Ford Seamless Tube Company, and the Ellwood Mortgage Company.
