General Notes: Husband - Samuel Daubenspeck


He lived with his father till early manhood. He was then employed at the Erie and Pittsburgh Canal while it was building. He was afterwards employed by the Great Western Iron Works at Brady's Bend, Pennsylvania.

After marriage, he and his wife moved to a farm in Washington Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, near Annisville, where they lived until May 11, 1872, when they moved to Sugar Creek Township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. During the years they lived on their farm near Annisville, they brought up a family of twelve children, of whom three died in infancy. Four daughters and five sons grew to maturity.
He held the office of school director and was an elder in the Reformed Church in Sugar Creek Township, Butler County. In politics he was a staunch Democrat.

He held a commission of second lieutenant in the Pennsylvania Militia.
