General Notes: Husband - Thomas Cratty

He came to America from Northern Ireland. He served in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War, entered Captain Campbell's Company in 1781, and transferred to Henderson's Second Regiment in 1782; on the return of men he enlisted for eighteen months in the First Pennsylvania Regiment, Continental Line, and marched in Colonel Craig's detachments. After the war he settled near Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and married. They had five sons and four daughters.
