General Notes: Husband - Asaph N. Cranmer
He resided with his parents until he attained the age of twenty-one years, when he commenced life for himself, farming and coal mining alternately. In August, 1862, he enlisted in Company G, One Hundred and Thirty-seventh Pennsylvania Volunteers, and served nine months, when his term of service expired. He then devoted his attention to the stonemason's trade and farming.
This family was connected with the Methodist Episcopal church, and politically, Mr. Cranmer was a Republican.
