General Notes: Husband - Adam John Dambach

He was a child when his parents moved from his native township to the home farm in Forward Township, where he grew to maturity, receiving his educational training in the public schools. At the age of eighteen years he moved to Evans City and learned the trade of a blacksmith under Peter Ripper, for whom he worked two years. He then worked a like period for W. C. McClure, after which he went into business for himself. His establishment was located on the corner of Washington Street and Wahl Avenue, and he did a general blacksmithing business, making a specialty of horse-shoeing.
Religiously, he and his wife were members of the Lutheran Church, he being president of the congregation and superintendent of the Sunday-school. He was a Republican in politics, while fraternally he was affiliated with the Modern Woodmen of America.
