General Notes: Husband - William Huston Craig
His education was begun in the public schools of West Franklin township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, and continued at Elder's Ridge Academy. Then he went to Iron City College, in Pittsburgh, took a commercial course and was graduated in 1866. After finishing this course he kept books in Pittsburgh for one year. Then for five years he was engaged in mercantile business at Sherrett, Armstrong County. In 1876 he moved into Clarion County, and after that time, for a period of more than thirty-seven years, he was engaged in general mercantile business at Rimersburg. The firm came to be called W. H. and J. C. Craig & Company. With J. C. Craig, his nephew, he owned a farm of one hundred and seventy-five acres in Madison township, Clarion County. He was a member of the board of directors of the People's National Bank, at East Brady, Clarion County. He was a tall man, of much dignity. With his two unmarried daughters, he lived in a very beautiful home at Rimersburg. All the family were active members of the Presbyterian church at Rimersburg, of which he was an elder for thirty-six years.
