General Notes: Husband - John C. Craig

---

He was born on the farm he later came to own, in Raccoon township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. His entire family were members of the United Presbyterian church. In politics he was a Republican. He enlisted, in 1861, in Company F, 46th Regiment, P. V., and after eighteen months' active service was compelled, through ill health, to return home. He was present at the battle of Cedar Mountain, where he was wounded, and participated in other engagements.
He and his wife had seven children, four still living in 1888.
